Under the Tuscan Sun: Chianti Wine Route

Your journey to Tuscany starts with an arrival to Florence – a city richly steeped in medieval history with Roman ruins and known as the epicenter of the Renaissance period where brilliant art masters flourished and found inspiration.  There is plenty to do ranging from museums and galleries to access to historic landmarks – such as the Vasari Corridor and Pitti Palace, palazzos, and fashionable shopping – not to mention the designer outlets.  However, this program is dedicated to the Tuscan hillsides – home of cypress trees, olive groves, ancient villas, and medieval villages where you will journey to Greve in Chianti to explore local products at the market, have a picnic in the Sangiovese vineyards in Montalcino, and of course, not to be missed visits to Lucca, Pisa, Siena and Montepulciano where visitors will enjoy visits to olive oil factories and  private ancient cellar visits, indulge in culinary classes along with privileged wine tastings – direct from the winemaker himself.   Depending on time of year, guests will learn the true process of the wine harvest by becoming an integral part of it.  Not to be missed are the truffle hunts!  Your trip is not complete without a private dinner in a castle prepared by a famous Michelin star chef.  Scattered throughout these lush surroundings are abbeys, castles, and  Roman baths – many of which are considered UNESCO sites and worth seeing.  Other recreational activities include five star thermal spas known for its natural healing and medicinal purposes.  For golf enthusiasts, there are five star spa resorts that offer luxury golf on site.
