American Express opens its first Centurion Lounge outside the U.S.

On September 29, American Express debuted its Centurion Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport marking its first signature lounge outside the U.S., but note this now makes a total of eight international airports that feature the signature program.

With a stunning 8,000 square foot space, the lounge is contemporary with a curated wine list and an extensive buffet. Like its other locations, amenities include private shower suites and a variety of meeting and business facilities.

The Hong Kong edition also bears the distinction of being the first to feature an area reserved exclusively for Centurion cardholders, where members will experience an à la carte menu of Cantonese delicacies from Michelin-starred chef Lau Yiu Fai of InterContinental Hong Kong’s Yan Toh Heen restaurant. A dedicated AmEx representative is on hand to assist cardholders with reservation, travel, and card service requests.
